“Park in the Art” Program to Install 2 New Racks on Olde Main
Green Bay, WI – Olde Main Street, Inc. is seeking artist submissions for the “Park in the Art” program, an artistic bike rack program for the Olde Main Street District running since 2010. The program adds a transportation benefit and continued commitment to the arts in the Olde Main Street District.
The Park in the Art Selection Committee is looking for design proposals for 2 new racks: one for Whitney Park (800 Main St.) and the other for Fox Communities Credit Union (1313 Main St.). Artists may submit more than one entry for each option. Olde Main Street, Inc. will compensate participating artists with a total program budget of $4,000 provided through sponsorships. Pomp’s Tire will sponsor the Whitney Park rack and Fox Communities Credit Union is sponsoring the rack to be placed at their property.
Applications can be downloaded off the homepage at www.downtowngreenbay.com or requested via e-mail to crystal@downtowngreenbay.com. Applications will be accepted through February 15, 2013. Olde Main Street, Inc. plans to unveil the new pieces in conjunction with Gallery Nite on June 20, 2013.
