When is Washington Street Parking Restricted?

The Green Bay Police Department will be starting a 90 day trial  through June 2013 limiting paralell parking for 20 spots in the 200 North and 100 South blocks of Washington Street from Midnight until 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. During the first few weeks of the trial, vehicles will be given warnings, then ticketed and then potentially towed.

Officers will work with business owners to try and identify the vehicles in violation prior to towing.  Bright yellow hoods will be placed on the impacted meters warning that it is a tow-away zone.

The trial is one of the efforts of the Downtown Hospitality Safety Plan and will allow for the GBPD to have better visibility during those hours for the high traffic areas along Washington.

Ample parking near those blocks can be found in the very well-lit Cherry Street Ramp which is free on weekends.
